Privacy and Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit ravingbrandbuilder.com, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
This website is run by Raving Brand Builder, operated by Rafael Lopes in Portugal, who is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question or request, email ravingbrandbuilder@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Analytics and advertising cookies, only if you click Accept. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks (including clicks on our booking button), how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser. We use Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to booked calls and to show our ads to past visitors.
- If you click Decline, or have not chosen yet. No analytics or advertising cookies are set. Google's Consent Mode still sends basic, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was viewed and that consent was not given), which Google uses to estimate overall numbers without identifying you.
- Your cookie choice. We remember your Accept or Decline
choice in your browser's local storage (under
rbb-consent) so we do not ask again. It stays until you clear your browser data. - Hosting logs. Our web host, Porkbun, may record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit to run and secure the site.
- Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.
- Booking a call. Our booking button opens Calendly, a separate service with its own privacy notice. We receive the details you enter there (such as your name, email and answers) and use them only to prepare for and hold the call.
- Free assessment requests. If you fill in the assessment form, we collect your name, email, Instagram profile, what you sell, whether your clients are local or online (and which cities), and your website if you share it. We use these details to prepare your assessment, email it to you and follow up about it. They are stored in a private Google Sheet, and each request is emailed to us through Google.
- Starting a plan. If you fill in the Start now form, we collect your name, email, Instagram profile, business name and chosen plan before sending you to checkout. We use these details to set up your account and to follow up about your order, including if you do not complete payment. They are stored in a private Google Sheet, and each request is emailed to us through Google.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe (and PayPal, if you pay with it). They receive your payment details directly; we never see your full card number. We receive your name, email, phone number, payment status and billing history to run your subscription. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Messages. If you email or message us, we use what you send to reply to you.
Cookies we use
These are only set after you click Accept.
| Cookie | Provider and purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics. Tells visits from the same browser apart. | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics. Keeps track of your session. | 2 years |
_gcl_au | Google Ads. Measures conversions from our ads. | 90 days |
_gcl_aw | Google Ads. Set only when you arrive from one of our ads, to credit that ad. | 90 days |
Google may also use its own cookies on Google domains for advertising. See how Google uses cookies in advertising and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Legal basis
- Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Hosting logs, fonts and site security: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
- Assessment requests, Start now requests, booking and messages: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and replying to you.
- Payments and client records: performing our contract with you, and keeping the records the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Google Analytics keeps event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Aggregated reports are not affected.
- Assessment and Start now requests are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact, then deleted, unless you become a client.
- Client payment and invoice records are kept for as long as Portuguese tax law requires.
- Booking details and messages are kept for as long as we are in contact or working together, and then deleted unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Who else receives your data
Google (Analytics, Ads, Fonts, and Sheets and Gmail for form requests), Porkbun (hosting), Calendly (booking), and Stripe and PayPal (payments) process data for the purposes above. Some of them may process it outside the European Economic Area, relying on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your personal data.
Your choices and rights
- Change your cookie choice at any time with Cookie settings.
- Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive a copy of it. Email us and we will reply within one month.
- You can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD, or to the authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
